"Sidney Garber, the son of a watch repairman, began what would become his fine jewelry house in Chicago in 1946. As a little girl, Brooke joined her father in the Sidney Garber store, standing behind the counter, watching him work. She traveled with him for years to the ateliers in Paris and Milan, meeting with the most esteemed craftsmen and designers. In 2008, Brooke inherited the business and opened an additional store in New York.
