Each of Kara's pieces is elegant, feminine, sexy, and unique. Kara is a certified gemologist and lover of colored stones. She uses gemstones and woods in combination with metals and leathers to create beautiful necklaces, bracelets, rings, and even handbags. Launched in 2003, Kara Ross NY has rapidly grown in fine jewelry, known for it's bold and distinctive use of exotic skins and gemstones.

The first lady has been seen wearing Kara's designs many times, including on the night of the State of the Union Address by President Obama. The Office of the Chief of Protocol, sent Kara pieces of wood from the White House lawn for Kara to create special pieces to be given as gifts to visiting heads of state by Michelle Obama.
